Photo manipulation is not a area in which I work very much. But I have dabbled and I do appreciate the work it takes to merge the digital with the actual photo. You have attempted to merge the two because you have added a shadow. I am not a expert, though I think if it was me, I might increase the contrast and brightness on the subject (in the photo) and see how that would look. One other observation is that the lighting on the person, is coming at the wrong direction for the shadow. Maybe if the brightness and contrast was increased on the photo, that may be less noticeable. With this piece is clear the see the difference between the digital and the person. You have done a excellent job cropping the image. The way the body of the person is positioned is great. One thing I look at is proportions. Its surprising how a simple change of proportions can have a affect on how the piece turns out. Maybe if the height was increased, so that the person is less close to the top of the piece. If the photo of the person was not introduced and it was just the background, for the proportions of the background would have been perfect. Though with the person introduced, for my tastes, I would say she was too high up. I like the colours they fit well. The shading of the gray is good, as well as the texture on the purple.
